Jumia est une entreprise de commerce électronique présente sur le marché africain et fondée en 2012. La plateforme de Jumia est une « marketplace » ou place de marché, qui met en relation des vendeurs et des acheteurs, en mettant à leur disposition un service logistique, permettant l’expédition et la livraison des colis en plus d’un service de paiement1. En 2019, plus de 80 000 vendeurs proposent une large gamme de produits et de services à la demande : appareils électroménagers et électroniques, mode, jouets pour enfants mais aussi des services tels des réservations d’hôtels ou d’avion, et la livraison de repas. Jumia est notamment qualifié d’« Alibaba africain » ou d’« Amazon africain ».
L’entreprise est présente dans plus d’une dizaine de pays africains dont l’Algérie, le Maroc, la Tunisie, le Kenya, l’Égypte, l’Ouganda, le Sénégal, le Ghana, l’Afrique du Sud et la Côte d’Ivoire. Plus de 5 000 personnes travaillent directement avec Jumia, et presque 100 000 personnes indirectement sur le continent3. Le 12 avril 2019, Jumia est la première entreprise technologique uniquement consacrée au marché africain cotée à la bourse de New York (JMIA – NYSE).
L’entreprise est critiquée pour s’affirmer africaine alors qu’elle a été fondée à Berlin, que ses dirigeants sont français, que son centre technique est situé au Portugal, que ses capitaux sont majoritairement américains et européens, et que de lourdes pertes ont été autorisées pour permettre sa croissance5. Jumia est néanmoins également défendue, en raison de son actionnaire principal sud-africain, mais aussi parce qu’elle montrerait les opportunités à suivre et permettrait de répondre à des problèmes structurels.

Head of Fulfillment- Jumia Services (Full-time)
Description
Management of Inbound processes and team
-Daily allocation and monitoring of inbound tasks and duties.
-Capacity planning and compliance management in line with monthly inbound volume projection and schedule
-Performance management including appraisals and team coaching.
-Carry out regular 5S audits / spot checks to ensure quality of process and provide clear and visible feedback on findings.
-Continuous process improvement driven by suggestions on systems improvements
-Liaise with appropriate departments (commercial team, vendor management team and finance department) on prioritization and reconciliation of items be inbounded.
-Ensure 100% QC check and enforce proper packaging guidelines on all items to be inbounded
-Escalate issues to senior management within an appropriate time frame and provide warehouse management with end of day / shift handover information.
Management of Inventory processes and team
-Performance management – ensuring out of stock is within monthly target, daily cycle count is carried out and reported.
-Continuous storage capacity assessment and management.
-Improve picking efficiency by enforcing standardization of SKUs storage
-Ensure all items from inbound, order processing and aftersales are put-away into location within 3Hrs
-Inventory lost management and control.
-Carry out regular 5S audits / spot checks to ensure quality of process and provide clear and visible feedback on findings.
-Organize quarterly cycle count with finance and external auditors
-Organize offline sales for defective and defective damaged items
-Advise commercial team on aged and slow moving SKUs to be discounted and sold online
Management of Order fulfillment processes and team
-Manages the order fulfillment process including Pick, Pack Ship of Jumia Express orders and processing of Jumia Global orders.
-Ensuring daily order processing activities are within SLA
-Capacity planning in line with weekly volume projection and schedule
-Prioritization of customer orders based on FIFO maximize customer satisfaction.
-Responsible for managing the projection, utilization and storage of packaging materials
-Escalate issues to senior management within an appropriate time frame and provide warehouse management with end of day / shift handover information
-Responsible for the management of daily order transactions and ensure smooth operations amongst related departments i.e. inbound, inventory, Order processing, Network, Jumia global etc.
-Performance management including benchmarking with other countries, appraisals and team coaching.
Cost reduction
-Continuously find innovative ways to reduce cost across all internal operations department by increasing productivity as well as reducing lost due to theft and damages of items
-Improve efficient usage of work tools and material handling
Profile And Skills Required
-Master’s degree in supply chain.
-Minimum of 7 years experience in logistics, transportation or procurement.
-Strong experience in operationnal management
-Strong knowledge in domestic logistics market
-Strong knowledge in MS OFFICE and POWER BI.

Aftersales Manager – Jumia Services (Full-Time)
Description
Oversee the process of receiving and reconciliation of packages from network team
Ensure that proper quality check is done on each item that comes to the aftersales to ascertain customer claims
Ensure all packages are processed on time
Prevent losses through continuous process monitoring and tracking of all items processed by aftersales
Queue management of items in transit to and items received at the aftersales
Performance management including appraisals and training of the aftersales by suggesting systems improvement
Escalate issues to senior management within an appropriate time frame and provide fulfillment manager with end of the day / shift handover
Profile and skills required :
Education : Engineering and Business Schools (BAC+3/5)
Good knowledge in english, Excel is a must
Experience : already an experience in logistics/supply chain or e-commerce is a plus

Vendor Community Manager- Jumia (Full time)
The vendor community manager ensures that our vendors stay engaged and informed by managing the online and offline channels.
Main Responsibilities
Create and execute a communication plan
Write and send daily communications (email, sms…)
Create a social media space for our vendors
Community animation & moderation in Social Media
Understand our vendors and set a tone of voice that talks to them
Organize offline events.
Required Skills
